OVERVIEW

Foundation and Objectives

In April 1988, the Japanese Studies Program started with twelve first-year students. The majority of students in the program, who come mainly from Asian countries, study Japanese language and culture while supporting themselves. Graduates of the Program go on to pursue university and graduate programs, such as those at Josai University and Josai International University. Since many of the students aspire to work for Japanese companies, we also provide them with professional skills, such as computer training.

Our mission is to contribute to international goodwill and cultural exchange by educating our students to be able to speak Japanese proficiently and function in Japanese society. We continually improve our curriculum and field experiences in order to meet our students' educational needs.
