Graduate School Postgraduate Course in Economics

Study economics thoroughly

We offer various courses to students who are eager to learn and study more about economics beyond undergraduate programs and students with full-time jobs who aim to enhance the level of their technical skills. We are always seeking to improve our graduate courses. Specifically, the graduate curriculum is linked with the course of study at the undergraduate school to enable students to enhance their knowledge and ability effectively. And through our teaching assistant ("TA") system, students have a chance to give academic support and advice to undergraduate students, gaining valuable experience for the future.

Postgraduate Course in Economics
Economic Policy Major ( Master course)

This course started in 1978. At the time of its foundation, only a few graduate schools in Japan offered Economic Policy courses. Moreover, we selected "economic globalization" as a main theme of the graduate course. We proudly say that we were ahead of this age of globalization. Some theory-minded students pursue a career as an educator at a university or in a high school, or as a researcher at a research institute. Other practically-minded students often choose to work in the business world as a licensed tax accountant or an entrepreneur.
Various fields of study to meet studentsf individual goals
We offer various fields of study in our curriculum to enhance the knowledge and skills students have gained at the undergraduate level. In the seminar, a required course, the professor gives advice and counsel to the students when they write a masterfs thesis. The professor also encourages the students to improve the knowledge they will need in the future as a researcher, educator, or specialist. In the independent study or special lecture, elective courses, students can study a wide range of topics.
