Department of Social and Economic System

The current Japanese economy is required to promote both public policy and market efficiency. In the Faculty of Contemporary Policy Studies, we train potential workers who will play an active role in social and economic fields where market efficiency is increasingly required to be compatible with public policy. To meet this goal, we provide four courses: Public Policy, Medical Welfare Economy, Business Law, and Local Innovation.
By relating law and political systems (law / political science), economic trends (economics), social structures (sociology), and organizations (business administration), we train potential workers who can analyze Japan’s social economic systems and who can acquire the qualifications and attitudes required of professionals in contemporary society. We offer not only curricula that students can study in classrooms, but also training programs and internships that students can pursue outside the classrooms. Through these programs, students can more clearly understand the meaning of what they are studying and the way to make practical use of their studies.
