Instill students with a strong foundation in mathematics and chemistry
The purpose of the faculty is to study the natural sciences. It is said that the development of modern science has not been made without the development of the study of science. The faculty has two majors, mathematics and chemistry, which are main streams of natural science. Both majors are designed to provide students with the skills and professional knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of modern scientific practice. Computer science, nanotechnology, and molecular designs were added to the Department of Chemistry.
Department of Mathematics
Apply a mathematical way of thinking to business and academic fields
Mathematics is the science of structure and a fundamental science leading to truth by developing theory logically. A background in mathematics can provide access to a wide range of careers. A feature of the Department is to educate students in small classes and seminars are considered very important. Another feature is the use of information technology ("IT") to assist the students to develop a mathematical way of thinking. Emphasis is on mathematical theory and rigor with applications to business and academic fields.
Department of Chemistry
Produce substances with excellent characteristics
Chemistry is a branch of scientific study related to the composition, characteristics and reactions of matter. Progress in chemistry has produced substances that have made our lives affluent and convenient. A more practical curriculum was introduced last year to meet the needs of the times. This program introduces students studying fundamental chemistry to a variety of fields, including nanotechnology, IT and life science. The program prepares students for a large number of careers in their chosen fields of specialty.
Graduate Programs
The Faculty offers the M.A. degree in Mathematics and Material Science

The Faculty provides an opportunity for students to pursue advanced studies. There are two types of Master’s program: Master of Mathematics and Master of Material Science. These are programs that make it possible for graduates of Faculty of Science to study smoothly from one stage of education to the next without disruption. The Department of Mathematics has special classes, Advanced Seminar I and II (for juniors) and The Study of Mathematics (for juniors and seniors), for students wishing to enter Graduate Programs. The master’s program in Material Science is designed to provide rigorous training in both chemistry and computer science to produce superior technical experts.
