Aiming to train the specialists who will support health with a broad outlook and in-depth expertise.
There is now a strong demand for experts in pharmaceutics and dietetics with more advanced and in-depth skills to support national health and the quality of life. To respond to these needs, the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Josai University has revised its Master’s program. The school pursues in-depth expertise through upgraded courses, exercises and practical experience to teach students the advanced technologies for supporting health. In order to analyze ever more complex health issues, the school also takes a multifaceted approach and facilitates learning beyond the area of specialization. Based on both these aspects, the school aims to educate balanced specialists who combine advanced expertise with the applied skills to respond to a broad range of fields. The school  educates specialists who will be able to make broad contributions to health in their own fields including drug discovery, cosmetic product development, functional foods development, and medical care.

Clinical Dietetics and Human Nutrition (Master’s Program, 2 years)

The school aims to train professionals with advanced specialties who can contribute to healthcare, design foods with advanced functions, and design meals that avoid dietary toxicity. Placing the focus on medical care in teams, the objective is to train global professionals with advanced specialties who can participate in the development of functional foods, disease prevention, and acquire the basic knowledge to understand the biological effects of foods, drugs and toxins based on the biosciences. The school also accepts alumni of other departments than the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science.
